Lahore: Senior Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has stressed the need for further promotion of night tourism in and around the Walled City, in addition to the work being done for the preservation of national heritage, according to a news report. He said similar projects will be undertaken in other cities of Punjab including Multan, Bhera, Kasur, and Chakwal among others.
Khan was presiding over a meeting of the Walled City Lahore Authority (WCLA). The meeting was also attended by Secretary Local Bodies, Commissioner & Deputy Commissioner Lahore and Director General WCLA along with other high ranking officers.
The minister added that apart from preserving the national heritage, residents of the Walled City should also be provided with better living facilities and good living standards. He also said that awareness should be created among the masses for the promotion of tourism, and international companies should be invited to help provide better entertainment.
