Islamabad: The Power Division and the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have decided to convene an expert-level meeting in the next week to discuss electricity-related matters of the autonomous region, according to a news report.
Permission for the meeting was granted in a meeting held between Federal Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan and AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Wednesday.
The meeting will be held on 5th March, where AJK representatives will be led by their energy secretary, while the Power Division will be led by an additional secretary, with assistance by officials of the power wing, Private Power and Infrastructure Board, and other allied organisations.
During these discussions, the Power Division Minister will apprised the AJK premier of the steps being taken for improving the electricity system and service delivery to consumers.
