Muzaffarabad: During the fourth meeting of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Development Working Party (AJK-DWP), the body provided his approval to the development of 31 welfare projects, a news source reported. The estimated cost of all these uplift schemes amounts to PKR 15.9 billion. The department has previously approved 16 uplift schemes to be carried out during the current fiscal year.

The approved projects include schemes related to the improvement of livestock, education, transportation, infrastructure, and parks. Some of the major projects approved during the meeting include:
- Provision of basic amenities in Athmuqam, district headquarters of Neelam
- Livestock semen production centre in Jatlan Mirpur
- POL quality control laboratory in Mirpur
- Restoration of wildlife park at Patikka, Muzaffarabad
- Feasibility study on Special Economic Zone, Mirpur
- Revision of 45MW Jagran-II hydropower project
- Reconditioning of a total of approximately 179 kms of roads across the city
- Reconditioning of three bridges
- E-learning classrooms in high and higher secondary schools
- Construction of Cadet College in Muzaffarabad
- Construction of boundary wall along the Cadet College Palandari

Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Dr Syed Asif Hussain directed the departments concerned to complete the work on their projects within the time allotted.
