Muzaffarabad: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) assembly has passed the budget for FY2019-20, amounting to PKR 121. 56 billion – a news source reported.
This figure includes a PKR 97 billion allocation for recurring expenditures and PKR 24.56 billion for developmental activities.

Finance Minister Dr Najeeb Naqi had presented a total of 32 demands; all of which were unanimously approved by the treasury benches.
Moreover, demands for sanctioning the additional expenditures beyond the approved budgetary allocations for the fiscal years 2015-16 to 2017-18 were also approved.
Speaking on the floor of the house, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider said that he was satisfied with the work that his government had done in line with the pledges made before the 2016 elections (in AJK) by him and his party.
The AJK PM also expressed his gratitude to PM Khan for giving clear directions regarding the resolution of the problems caused by Neelum-Jhelum and Mangla power projects.
He also lauded the efforts of his team in increasing revenue receipts.
