Lahore: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Wednesday approved and recommended development projects worth over PKR 60 billion, a news source reported.

PDWP sanctioned the schemes during its 22nd meeting, which was presided over by P&D Board Chairman Habib-ur-Rehman Gillani. P&D Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, along with other concerned officials, also attended the meeting.
The schemes approved by PDWP will cost over PKR 3.817 billion. These include establishment of land record centres at a cost of PKR 2.146 billion; construction of dual carriageway from Ganaish Wah Canal to Kutchery (PKR 443.772 million), and rehabilitation of Rawat Harraka Dhudial Road for Rawat to Jorrian at a cost of PKR 1.227 billion.

The schemes forwarded to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) amount to PKR 58.241 billion. These include a wildlife resources programme at a cost of Rs5.890 billion; National Programme for Enhancing Command Area of Small and Mini Dams in Barani areas of Pakistan at a cost of PKR 3.9 billion and National Programme for Improvement of Watercourses in Pakistan for over PKR 48.535 billion.
