Peshawar: The Simbri Construction Solutions, Lahore (SCSL) and the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) have signed a commercial licensing agreement for the joint research regarding the development of sustainable construction materials, according to news published on December 20.

As per the details, the SCSL Chief Operation Officer (COO) Syed Salman Al-Husainy, and UET Manager Office of Research Innovation and Commercialisation (ORIC) Dr Tariq Khalil signed the agreement on Monday (December 19). UET Vice Chancellor Prof Iftikhar Hussain stated that the university is working in the field of civil engineering for the development of environmentally-friendly products in the construction industry.

Moreover, SCSL COO Husainy mentioned that the firm wants to bring corporate culture to the construction industry. He went on to say that bringing practitioners and academia under one roof is crucial to find a research-based solution to bring sustainability and innovation to the construction industry.
