Lahore: The Punjab Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with several international firms for developing a renewable energy project, a news source reported.

TEVTA has signed the agreement with Power One for One, Aream GmbH, and the Solar Quality Foundation (SQF) to launch a ‘clean power purchasing’ development project in the province.
Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal said that this initiative would facilitate the development of renewable energy resources in the country.

Under this joint venture, photovoltaic plants for commercial and training purposes will be installed in the province. Over 10 trainers and 100 technicians are expected to work on the pilot project.
