Islamabad: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has formed an agreement draft for development of Rashakai Economic Zone under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in collaboration with a Chinese firm, reported a news source. The agreement is expected to be inked during the next meeting between officials from the two countries.
Further development is expected on setting up Rashakai Zone during the upcoming meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee, soon after which, work on the project will be started. The Chinese firm engaged for the project will also be taking care of the administrative aspects in collaboration with Pakistani officials.
According to statistics shared by Ministry of Planning, Rashakai Economic Zone will pull investments worth PKR 2 billion and also arrange for employment opportunities.
