Islamabad: The capital administration has been asked to launch a free shuttle service for labourers residing in the recently built shelter homes to solve their conveyance issues, a news source reported. Prime Minister Imran Khan issued the directives during his visit to a shelter home in Tarlai.
He was informed that the shelter homes in Tarlai and Sabzi Mandi were renovated in 20 days. The Tarlai building can accommodate 150 men and 50 women, whereas the building in Sabzi Mandi can house 100 men.

The Punjab Government had already introduced free transport service for its citizens residing in five shelters. The shelter homes have been built in areas such as Laari Adda, Data Darbar, Railway Station, Thokar Niaz Baig, and Ravi Road.
A spokesman for the district administration said that the shuttle service will be provided between 6am and 10pm. Initially, two wagons will pick residents from surrounding areas and drop them to the nearest Panah Gah (shelter home).
