Quetta: Chairperson of Quetta Development Authority (QDA) Bushra Rind stated that a long-term plan to provide the people of Balochistan affordable housing has been launched, a news source reported. She made this announcement during a press conference on Tuesday.

The chairperson said that the QDA and the government were taking steps to provide locals with residential options, on easy instalment plans. This initiative will be taken under the basic objective of organisation.

Additionally, Rind also added that in order to reduce the problem of growing traffic levels in Quetta, the city authorities were planning on shifting Karachi Terminal in the city to Hazarganji. Similarly, all scrap warehouses and dairy farms were being moved out of the main city area. Finally, the government is also preparing to set up a 132 KV grid station to provide citizens with increasing amounts of high-grade power facilities. The QDA also recently announced that housing schemes will be made a part of the revised master plan of the city.
