Peshawar: The Director General National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Fayyaz Ahmad Qureshi compensated the affectees of an illegal housing scheme on Tuesday using the money recovered via a plea bargain from society’s managing director and others, a news source reported.

According to details, the owners of this housing scheme located at Rashakai interchange had been accused of luring the general public to invest in their housing society on the promise to allot them plots on their investment.
However, the plots had not been provided even after a considerable amount of time had passed. As a result, the investors had approached NAB for the recovery of their money.

The accused had later entered into a plea bargain with NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2018 and as a result, paid back all the money of the investors to NAB.
Speaking on the occasion, the DG NAB assured the general public that NAB KP will continue its efforts and ensure that the money owed reaches the rightful owners or their heirs.
