Karachi: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Mushtaq Ahmed Mahar and Additional IGP Karachi Ghulam Nabi Memon on Thursday shared an advisory regarding the use of ATM machines during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a news source reported.

The two senior police officials advised all government and private sector employees on how to use ATM machines. They directed them to use a tissue wrapped around their fingers when withdrawing cash from the machines. They added that this effort would help control the spread of the coronavirus infection in the province.
The two officers further advised the public to forward this advisory to everyone using ATM machines, so that people could take the required measures against the coronavirus infection.

There are currently over 1,200 cases of the coronavirus infection across Pakistan. In Sindh, the number of these cases has crossed 400. Meanwhile, there have been nine reported deaths from the disease in the country.
