The provincial government is mulling over two options with regard to earning revenue from the project. One option is to allow the construction company to collect tax on Leh Expressway. Another alternative is to have this company earn money by selling fertiliser, treated water and methane gas.
The government had last year directed the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) to prepare the PC-I for the treatment plant, which was included in the annual development programme of 2018-19.
