Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Faisal Amin Gandapur has instructed the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) to ensure strict adherence to the land-use rules and building control regulations for successful and environment-friendly housing projects, according to a news published on December 31.

While addressing a land-use rules and building bylaws briefing, Minister Gandapur stressed that the civic authority must also meet environmental requirements including internal and external open space for residential/commercial spaces for the provision of a healthy environment for citizens. He said that proper parking facilities were required in all buildings adjoining wide roads and streets to prevent traffic problems.

The briefing was also attended by Secretary Local Government Department Shakeel Ahmed Mian and Peshawar Development Authority Director General Engr Ijaz Afzal.
