Karachi: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has expressed its support for the Sindh Government for the development of desalination plants in the province, among other projects, according to a news source. This support was offered during a meeting between an ADB delegation and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah. The delegation head was ADB Central West Asian Department Director-General Werner Liepach.
Shah emphasised that health, education, water, transport, and urban sanitation were the needs of the hour for Sindh. He urged the ADB to extend its support to projects covering these areas. The desalination plant was declared a priority, as it would provide clean drinking water to the people of the province.
