Multan: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has given the green signal for a grant worth PKR 250 million to Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC), according to a news report. ADB has also asked MWMC to provide a 7-year plan for improving the city’s state of cleanliness by 7th May. MWMC has also prepared a plan to buy new machinery and land for a landfill site costing a total of PKR 250 million.
According to details, ADB representatives visited MWMC where MWMC Managing Director (MD) Rao Anwar briefed them about the state of cleanliness in the city and also informed them about the issues faced by MWMC.
MWMC will send the summary of its 7-year plan to the Punjab Government and when it is approved, ADB will grant the company PKR 250 million.
