Gwadar: The authorities concerned acquired 2,281 acres of land for the development of a free trade zone in Gwadar on September 3, 2015, with construction due to commence in the zone within the next 2 to 3 months, according to a news source.
Gwadar Development Authority Chairman Mr Dostain Khan Jamildini told reporters that the expressway project in Gwadar would be started this year. He added that Rs 4 billion had been reserved exclusively for this project.
According to Mr Jamildini, construction of Gwadar International Airport will begin this year and Gwadar will also be host to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)’s potable water project.
