Lahore: The Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar lauded the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) in a tweet, for recovering approximately PKR 108 billion in the last year and declared it a historic figure, according to the news sources.
As per the details released by the government of Punjab, the ACE team has made a direct recovery of PKR 1.63 billion, and an indirect recovery of PKR 2.81 billion. The sum generated form land recovery is estimated to be around PKR 103.43 bn.

The CM opined that the government is very strict towards anti-corruption and impartial accountability measures. Up until August 2019, ACE resolved over 27,127 complaints regarding corruption, the CM shared in the tweet. He further mentioned that the department completed its investigation, and registered 1,509 cases and issued a verdict on 2,014 ongoing cases. The department set out 5,410 inquiries, and resolved 8,726 existing inquires.

Moreover, the department launched 1,019 challans, conducted 280 raids, and made 1,821 arrests (including 40 fugitives and 1,821 persons of interest). The department seeks to encourage the public’s trust by enforcing this process of impartial accountability.
