Sargodha: The Anti-Corruption Board (ACE) retrieved 193 kanals of state land in Sargodha during the last week, a news source reported. Additionally, the authority recovered PKR 8.8 million from fee defaulters.

The ACE officials retrieved the agricultural state land while conducting a drive against land grabbers in the region. ACE Assistant Director Muhammad Asghar and the district authorities participated in the drive.
The state land retrieved was located in the Sahiwal and Shahpur tehsils, and was worth PKR 29 million.
Recently, ACE also retrieved 1,726 kanals of state land costing more than PKR 304 million from different areas across Punjab. This included 682-kanal land, worth PKR 682 million in Sahiwal. In a province-wide crackdown, the authority recovered land from Lahore, Vihari, Multan, and Lodhran as well.

After recovering the land, ACE hands it back to the departments concerned. In the recent crackdown, it has handed over land to the Irrigation department.
