Sahiwal: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has retrieved 1,186-kanal of agricultural land, worth PKR 321.5 million, from 31 land grabbers in the district, according to the news sources.

ACE Regional Director Shafqatullah informed the media that the retrieved land was the property of the irrigation department and had been unlawfully occupied for the last 5-7 years. This irrigation land was retrieved from the locales of villages Chak Nos – 100/WM, 101/6A-R, 102/6A-R and 103/7-R. The retrieved land was handed over to the irrigation SDO.
In another recent development, Sahiwal Commissioner Nadeem-ur-Rehman also announced a development project to replace the city’s five decades old sewerage and water supply lines, with an estimated budget of PKR 11.6 billion. This project is being funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADP) under the auspices of the Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement and Investment Program.
