Lahore: Under a revenue recovery mechanism, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has decided to recover the rental fee from shops that are established on state land, according to the news sources. This recovery system will issue an identification number to over 40,000 shops across the province.
The sources reported that this improved revenue system was initiated to boost state cash inflow, and prevent corruption. The department has set a target to increase the provincial revenue by PKR 10 billion, by issuing identity numbers to all the shops standing on state land.

This summary will be presented to the Punjab government. The government will issue a letter to the Lahore Development Authority, Board of Revenue (BoR), Auqaf Department, and local bodies to uphold this recovery system to increase revenue.
