Lahore: A mobile application is reportedly under development to resolve the accommodation issues faced by inbound tourists across Pakistan. As per the developer, this ‘Room’ app will allow these travellers to book rooms in accordance with their budget requirements.

Hashoo Group Hospitality Division Chief Operations Officer (COO) Haseeb Gardaizi stated that the organisation would launch the application this year with an aim to facilitate domestic tourists in Pakistan.
Gardaizi mentioned that the Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) was a highly feasible platform for tourism promotion. He added that the PTM was representing a positive image of the country. He also revealed that his group had been holding discussions with travel agents and representatives from the aviation sector.

The COO explained that ‘Room’ would allow its users to rent out their homes to tourists and earn a reasonable amount of money in return. He added that any person willing to rent out his/her properties would have to meet certain conditions and ensure the availability of five basic facilities for the tourists.
