Hyderabad: Sindh Minister for Information and Focal Person for Rain Emergency Sharjeel Inam Memon has revealed that the Association of Builders And Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) and Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (HCCI) will join efforts and assist in the reconstruction of houses collapsed in Hyderbad owing to the recent flood, according to news published on September 6.

Minister Memon reiterated that the entire rehabilitation and reconstruction process will be overseen by ABAD. While talking to the media persons at HCCI, the minister revealed that a joint committee will be constituted and an account will be created for politicians to deposit their donations aimed at the rehabilitation of displaced citizens.

The provincial minister also said that the flood situation isn’t yet over and the losses are increasing. He iterated that the existing resources are stressed in their efforts to provide relief to flood-affected people. According to the minister, in view of the prevailing situation, the administration had to make the unwilling decision to give cut in Manchar Lake, which affected 125,000 people.
