Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has started to send legal notices to illegal wedding halls and marquees, giving the owners a one-month deadline to address the objections, according to a news source. By addressing the objections and acting upon them in this time period, the respective owners can get the status of their illegal wedding halls and marquees changed.
Sending these notices is the LDA’s first step towards the action it is taking on the orders given by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
During this one-month deadline, starting from today, the owners are required to get maps of these halls and marquees approved, arrange for parking space, and address similar issues that can be sorted out legally. The notices are, reportedly, prepared through legal consultation.
