The apartment scheme aims to benefit serving and retired employees of the federal government and autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions. Their widows, media people and employees of the Ministry of Housing and Works and its sub-ordinate institutions are eligible for applying in the scheme — with flats being allotted on a first-come-first-served basis.
