Faisalabad: Punjab government has given approval for more than 7,000 patwaris to be promoted to the posts of Revenue Assistants, according to a news report. More than 800 qanungos and gardawars have also been promoted to the posts of Revenue Supervisors.
Revenue Assistants’ basic payscale will be at par with level 12 officer, while that of Revenue Supervisors will be that of level 14 officers. Revenue Assistants will be assigned the job of identification of local rates and agricultural income tax, keeping a record of illegal farmers, help in setting up boundaries and execution of orders of civil courts among other things. Revenue Supervisors will head the revenue staff in their local patwar circle.
