Islamabad: According to a news report, Federal Minister for Climate Change, Senator Mushahidullah Khan on 5th March 2018 planted a sapling at D-Chowk to mark the launch of a plantation drive. The drive is for planting 700 trees at D-Chowk outside Parliament Lodges, as directed by the Senate Standing Committee on Climate Change.
Senator Mushahidullah added that the Ministry had organised various activities since February, the most successful of which has been “Ghar Ghar Aik Shajar”. This is a plant distribution drive in which various volunteers go from door to door and distribute plants, and have since covered 5,000 homes in Islamabad already.
