Lahore: Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) Chairman Mian Kashif Ashfaq on Wednesday announced that a 500 KW grid station is being constructed at an expedited pace at the Allama Iqbal Industrial City (AIIC), according to media sources.

In a meeting with Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Chief Executive Bashir Ahmad, Chairman Kashif Ashfaq was informed that the construction work on the grid station is underway at maximum capacity. He went on to say that the construction of the grid was monitored on regular basis to make sure the highest standards of quality and construction.
Moreover, Mian Kashif disclosed that the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL) General Manager (GM) stated that the sanctioned quota of gas will be made available for the industrial city after laying pipelines. In addition, the chairman said that all facilities will be provided to the investors under one window operation including electricity and gas connections.

During the meeting, the chairman also mentioned that this project has national importance and it will help bring an era of development and prosperity. It was reported that in the first phase of the project, PKR 7 billion has been spent and 20 units have already started production.
