Multan: Managing Director (MD) Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Rao Muhammad Qasim has said that 50 arsenic-free water filtration plants will be completed by May, according to a news report. He said this in a message on the importance of water conservation.
He stated that it was impossible to conceive life without water and that it is the duty of every citizen to work for conservation of water. He said that Multan city’s underground aquifer is large but due to wastage of water, the water levels have been decreasing rapidly.
He further said WASA’s 102 tube wells which provide water to the city get water from the depth of 425 feet which ensures that water is free of any contaminants and chemicals.
