Lahore: The district administration has continued its operation to remove encroachments and retrieve state land in various parts of the city, a news source reported. 50 kanals of commercial land were retrieved in Babu Sabu as a result.
The operation in Babu Sabu was supervised by Assistant Commissioner (AC) City Safdar Virk. A number of permanent and temporary encroachments were also removed from Jallo Road under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner (AC) Shalimar Ali Akbar. Punjab Police also took part in the operation, and encroachments were also cleared on historical Landa Bazaar.
District administration and civic agencies have been taking action throughout Punjab on orders given by the Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. The district administration previously retrieved hundreds of kanals of land in operations conducted in Lahore. Permanent and temporary encroachments have also been removed around the city and illegal buildings have been demolished or sealed as a result.
