Islamabad: The federal government has released 44% more funds for infrastructural projects during July-December 2017-18 in comparison to the last fiscal year’s same period, a news source reported. This was said by Asim Khan, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms, during an official release.
He elaborated that a total amount of PKR 315.013 billion was disbursed for the projects this year as compared to PKR 218.208 billion the year before. The funds issued were for energy, water, transport and communication, physical planning and housing, health and population, education, governance, science and information technology, special areas, environment, and youth among other sectors.
