Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Ring Road project has reached a significant milestone, with 40% of the construction work now completed, announced Brigadier (R) Babar Alauddin, Chairperson of the Chief Minister’s Surveillance Directorate Punjab.
During a visit to the project site, Brig. Babar Alauddin inspected the ongoing construction activities and was briefed by Kinza Murtaza, Director General of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).

The 38.3 km-long Ring Road, a key infrastructure initiative planned by former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, is expected to address the traffic congestion issues in Rawalpindi. Brig. Alauddin emphasized that the project is a significant gift from Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, to the people of Rawalpindi. He further stated that the Chief Minister is committed to completing the project as soon as possible to ease the city’s growing traffic problems.
Once completed, the Ring Road will not only improve traffic flow but also create employment opportunities for local residents, contributing to the region’s economic development.

The project is progressing at a steady pace, with the government prioritizing its completion to provide much-needed relief to Rawalpindi’s commuters.
