Islamabad: The government has released a sum of PKR 225.4 billion under its Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) – a news source reported.
The amount released is 33.4% of the total budgeted allocation, which stands at PKR 675 billion. Out of PKR 225.4 billion, PKR 85.63 billion have been earmarked for development projects of various ministries.
However, the amount released does not cover development funds for Commerce Division, Inter-Provincial Coordination Division and Religious Affairs & Inter-Faith Harmony Division.

A sum of PKR 101.5 billion against total budgeted allocation of PKR 185.2 has been released for various development projects of the National Highway Authority (NHA). The planning ministry also released PKR 8.1 billion, out of PKR 28.065 billion, for Pakistan Railways.
An amount of PKR 18.4 billion – including PKR 5.9 billion in terms of foreign aid – out of the budgeted PKR 78 billion has been released for various development projects and schemes of Water Resources Division.
