Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has declared 31 housing societies, which didn’t meet the defined rules and regulations, illegal, according to a news source. The RDA Town Planning and Traffic Engineering director issued the list, warning people against investing in these societies.
In addition to releasing the list of illegal societies, the RDA also approved the town plan for 45 societies that met the criteria of providing the necessary facilities to their residents.
The unapproved housing societies did not reserve land or commercial markets, mosques, playgrounds, schools, parks or open areas. These societies have no authority to open booking for their plots, according to RDA.
