According to the sources, the said projects were approved during a meeting at CDA headquarters and were aimed to modernize and enhance IT infrastructure and services in the region. The first project, ‘Deployment of Centrally Managed Wi-Fi System on Turnkey Basis at CDA Headquarters’, is set to be completed within 11 months, with an allocated budget of PKR 88.5 million.
This initiative will establish a secure and centrally managed Wi-Fi system, providing reliable communication infrastructure for internet services, email access, and various software applications. This new system will act as a backup for the existing 18-year-old wired communication network, which is slated for replacement in the second phase.
The second project, ‘E-Empowerment at CDA’ has a budget of PKR 99 million and is expected to be completed within 24 months. It encompasses several IT interventions, including revamping the CDA website, developing a smart app, launching e-payment services, implementing One Window Automation, and introducing other online services. Once implemented, this system will significantly reduce public visits to offices, streamlining service delivery and enhancing efficiency.
