Lahore: The Lahore Central Business District Development Authority (LCBDDA) expects a huge response from the business community during its upcoming 2nd auction of commercial plots, according to a news story published on Friday (February 11). Its location and exceptional approach to downtown have grabbed the attention of many international and national investors.

As per the details, the authority has started preparations for the auction of commercial plots that will be held on February 23, 2022. It is important to note that the auction will include 7 commercial plots of different sizes ranging from 12 kanals to 14 kanals – located on Main Boulevard, Gulberg, Lahore. The downtown of Lahore spans over an area of 92 kanals.
Reportedly, the commercial plots are offered on a convenient payment plan. The bidders will pay 10% in the 45 days of the bid acceptance and the remaining amount will be paid in 60 months. Also, it was highlighted that downtown will feature mega high-rise developments with favorable bylaws and one-window operation service for all investors. LCBDDA Executive Director Commercial Mohammad Omer stated that the mixed-use commercial plots, available on a buy and build basis, can be used for the construction of ultra-high-rise towers, digital hubs, business centres, and financial towers.
Moreover, LCBDDA Executive Director Commercial Mohammad Omer notified that the reserve price of the commercial plots will be announced soon. The authority has planned ‘Smart City Mission’ – an initiative that will be beneficial for residents across Central Business District (CBD).

It is pertinent to note that the LCBDDA was able to secure a hefty investment of PKR 24 billion in the first round of the auction last year.
