Mardan: Twenty five new spots have been identified in the city to promote tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a news source quoted Senior Provincial Minister for Tourism Muhammad Atif Khan. He shared this information during the inauguration of De Ta Wai Mardan Family Festival.
Khan stated that steps are being taken by the government to preserve the ancient ruins in the province. He added that Mardan will soon have a cultural centre, design of which will be similar to that of Nishtar Hall.
The government is already taking measures to create recreational opportunities for the citizens of Mardan. He also announced to hold Jashn-e-Mardan Festival in March in cooperation with the provincial government.

Khan further revealed that PKR 250 million has been issued to promote sports activities in the district. A youth hostel and gymnasium will be built in the sports complex. Another PKR 500 million has been approved to promote religious culture. This will attract tourists, helping the locals to reap benefits from increasing tourism.
