Islamabad: International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue (IRD) organised a two-day international conference on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Formation of Different Narratives at Quaid-e-Azam Auditorium of Faisal Mosque Campus, Islamabad today (November 17) at 9 am, according to media reports.

As per the details, the conference will be attended by distinguished international and national experts in sociology, economics, and mass media. During the CPEC conference, various aspects of CPEC’s regional and global impact will be discussed in different sessions. Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue Executive Director Dr Hassan Al-Amin stated that CPEC is an essential project that extends the western part of China to the southern Arabian Sea.

In its second phase, CPEC has launched several sub-projects of infrastructure, energy, railways, and other industries. The executive director mentioned that plenty of narratives were circulating about CPEC in Pakistan and globally, which includes the narrative of less developed regions, Pakistan and China’s official narrative, socio-economic experts, and political narratives.
