Rawalpindi: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar on Tuesday revealed that within only 15 days, over one million applications had been received for registration in the Kamyab Jawan Programme — with about 190,000 of these submissions belonging to female candidates alone — according to news sources.
He disclosed this information while speaking at a ceremony organized to mark the 5th Global Entrepreneurship Week, held at Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). He stated that a transparent and fair procedure was being adopted to ensure efficient loan disbursement under the scheme.

The special assistant said that under the programme, PKR 12 billion have been earmarked for skill development training to promote the local youth population’s exposure to emerging technologies.

Mr Dar added that the government had allocated PKR 100 billion under this programme and that the various business plans received under the scheme would also be shared with the all the state chambers in order to include them in the policy-making process as well. He also went on to commended the Rawalpindi chamber for its role in promoting entrepreneurship.
