Gujranwala: Over 150,000 applicants in Gujranwala have submitted their forms for low-cost houses being constructed under Naya Pakistan Housing Programme at the registration camps set for this purpose, a news source reported. The number is in addition to the applications submitted online and at National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) offices.

Responding to the public interest in the project and their demand to extend the deadline, NADRA has set November 15 as the last date for receiving registration applications. As per the figures the authority has shared, over 1.6 Million people from across the country have already applied for the low-cost NPHP Homes. In fact, over 200,000 of these applications were received around the previous deadline of October 15.

The local leaders in Gujranwala set these camps on the instructions of the federal government. A total of 166 registration camps were set up at the union council level in Gujranwala for a week to fulfil this purpose.
