Shangla: A 132KV grid station has been inaugurated in Shang Bisham, a news source reported. The grid station has been directly connected to Khan Khwar hydropower project.
MNA Ibadullah Khan, who inaugurated the project, said the grid station had long been a demand of the people of Bisham and Chakesar tehsils. A large number of people, including former MPA Mohammad Rashad attended the ceremony held in connection with the launch.
Khan, while lauding the support of the local community in completion of the project, said he was happy to have fulfilled a promise made to the people of Bisham and Chakesar in 2014.
He said that it was the first grid station to have been connected to the 72MW Khan Khwar hydel power project with a direct line. He claimed that the locals would no longer face power suspension and low voltage issues.
