Sometimes one notes a big difference between price of plots quoted on Zameen posts versus real market prices. Why is that? Is there a way on this website to compare the quoted price versus realistic/real market price of a property?

spaming from dealers is also an issue, sometime a single dealer posts 10+ adds of similar area with different price tags. or sometimes they quote a price far lower than market price but when you call them they told that item is sold now we have other options.
Has anyone really had a deal through an online Ad?
I have faced the same problem i.e. whenever you call the dealer they say that the item is sold or the seller is not available at the moment…we have other options too…plz visit our office.

Though not specialized, but as far as Number of Hits, Geniune Clientage and Better response, OLX is far better than zameen.
Zameen listed prices may not be very accurate but a scroll through them provides atlest a benchmark.
Yes, had deals via online: The trick is to be reaosnsble and straight (honest about what you wanna buy/sell) and add specific details. Usual website generated details are a turn off and immediate move on unless some exclusive stuff or tempting price.
Zameen isn’t a direct selling platform, it is just an advertising platform for dealers. Helps them get new customers which it does a good job at it if you pay for the paid listings.
Issue of why properties don’t get sold through zameen is that there is no verification process that the seller genuinely wants to sell property. Much of the time we have a vaila, retired seller with nothing better to do who wants to check market price and so he puts his property on market to see what offers he gets.
As for zameen prices v market price, well you can demand as much as you want even when dealing for properties in-person. But generally, zameen prices are realistic. The difference you are seeing is that prices on zameen are ‘demand’ prices which are always slighly (a few lacs) higher and ‘market’ price is the price at which deal happens. Demand price is always higher so that there is negotiating room. Generally speaking, zameen demand prices I have found are accurate especially if there are several properties selling in same area. However, some dealers or owners can take advantage if there are no properties selling in an area and artificially hike prices so you have take care of that.
99% dealers are at zameen.com who paid them for ads so it for know market trends .You can’t find any good deal at zameen.Always ask to local dealers where you want to purchase.why they give ads because there is no buyers in local market or demand is high.zameen or olx are good to know market value if someone demand 10M then it will be around 9 to 9.5M as i ask after i saw one ad at zameen regarding Dha-3 30x60 which is very close to my plot and he demand 10M and i asked my dealer he said offer price around 93 to 95 lakh.Don’t depend any website always visit market before sell or purchase.
