Around a month ago I got an offer for my plot in LDA Avenue for 55 lac and yesterday when I went to a dealer to check the price I found that the price has fallen to below 45 lac. I invested in plots to multiply my savings and put that money in my business to get some machines. With ever increasing price of dollar I feel that instead of saving I will hardly break even.

Do you feel there is a chance of rebound in market soon. I can't hold plot for long as it will adversely affect my business and I need to inject some cash in it.

So do you suggest that I should sell and get out of it or do you see a recovery soon in the market. I cannot hold for more than 3 months at most.

Assalam o alaikum,

Salman, recently i came to know that in LDA Avenue 1, WAPDA has committed to provide electricity by the end of coming December.

I wonder why you got a low-value offer for your plot in LDA Avenue 1, where i am hearing very positive things about the locality. It is also expected that the possession will be provided soon there because electricity was the only apparent hurdle. I guess you need to cross check the price with some other agents as well. InshALLAH, the prices will rise there.

I wont suggest you to sell your plot right now. Kindly wait for some more time to see if the prices increase.

Its very difficult to predict the market especially in this economic climate. If you need the money, then its best not to the gamble as it could go either way, it may increase or decrease in value. If you can wait a little longer then perhaps it could potentially be a worth while wait and you can enjoy the fruitfulness of your return on investment. However, nothing is guaranteed.

I surveyed the market today.. DHA phase 9 file is going down and is already around 5 lac down from the peak of 52.5 lac.. Similarly Bahria town is down a bit too.. We know that LDA society is not as strong as these other society... So i m a bit skeptical if the market will reverse soon..

But Expert opinion is sensible.

Yeah and it will be like that for sure cuz it’s only DEALERS and OVeRSEAS Pakistani are playing a gamble game in property. Real people who need to buy a plot cannot afford all this, even those societies where there is nothing yet are so expensive. This prediction was done already, prices would definitely decrease.
