The protestors have rejected the restoration of alignment approved in 2017 saying that this will consume a big chunk of agricultural and commercial land, and displace countless families.
Landowners are also not happy with the way land is compensated. They demand the govt to turn the road alignment towards barren and uncultivated land, which sounds just reasonable.
