My name is Kaneez Fatima. We are 3 sister 5 brothers and 1 mother. We had joint house. Last year my brothers planned to sale house, at that time the price of house was 3 crore. So sisters share was 22 lacs each and brothers share was 44 lacs each. But after one month 3 of my brothers changed their view and did not sold house and sold 35 acres of land 7 acre each. The 3 brothers who are living in house asked the buyer of land to give money to 2 brothers first so that they can buy their house and they bought their houses.But they did not gave a single rupee to their sisters.Now one year passed and the house price is 5 crore.Our brothers want to sale house but they say that sister will get same old share 22 lacs each.We ask them to give us share according to todays market because it was your decision not to sale house at that time.What does law say?
The division should be of today's market rate i-e; 5 crore divided among 1 wife 5 sons and 3 daughters and of course if their are further heirs!
Your Mother = 12.5 % = 6250000.
Your Brothers = 13.46% = 6730000.
you and your sisters = 6.73% = 3365000.
This injustice is very sad among the society and its been clearly increasing. How many of the sisters have the approach to knock at the right door. If we calculate the percentage it would be hardly any noticeable figure !
What about those sisters whose fate is decided in JIRGA system ? Male Chauvinist society we call it and when it comes to give the rights it usually the sisters who had to sacrifice.

Its really sad to hear this and im amazed that out of 5 brothers not even single brother is accepting your equal rights where Islam had already given the clear directions about the inheritance laws and they will be accountable for this injustice.
