Salam my question is what is included in the square foot of a house?
And did front elevation also consider in square foot if its has roof and what about terrace ? Please can someone explain it.. Which item included and which not..?
Square Feet area will be calculated under the concrete slab it can be roof slab,shades,terrace.

Houses are generally built on covered area rate basis.Covered area /constructed area of a house is the total area of roof slabs measured from wall to wall including shades/projections.Contractor is paid by multiplying covered area with rate.No extra payment is made to contractor for front elevation.Generally boundary wall ,gate ,over head water tank,roof parapet are paid as extra work (in addition to covered area bill).Terrace is also included in covered area, so is not paid separately. Window /door shades,kitchen & store shelves , bath room vanities (shelf) are also not paid as extra work. They are included in covered area rate but area is not added to covered area.
