We would like to sell our parents property (in DHA Phase 5, Karachi) as they've both passed away. Please advise what documents does the DHA office require from us in order to complete the sale of this house? Please note we live abroad!
Thanking you in advance for your expert opinion.
Best regards,
Mohammed Nasim
Dear, you have to submit the Succession certificate in case of immovable properties to DHA.Succession certf is legal document describing all Legal heirs of said property. In case you,you already have it,then simply send attorney to sell on name of person you trust. He ll finalize the deal, and sign Agreement to sell on your behalf. At the date of transfer/payment you have to be in Pakistan.
2 DHA also facilitate overseses sellers.Your proeprty ll be transferd to buyers name, through embassy. No need for arrival in Pakistan/DHA karachi office.
Thank you Mr Hisham for your response. We really appreciate it.
Kind Regards
Mohammed
My pleasure,Nasim sb.However it is better to consult DHA karachi official’s for precise and up-to-dated procedures in this regard.
Like wise, we did try for couple of weeks with DHA but each of our mail was responded after 2 weeks minimum. Then we tried to speak to them over the phone and (after numerous attempts), we got through the administration, and were told similar answer as yours but when we requested them to email the requirement officially; they went silent!
Anyway, thanks again!
