It seems like rawalpindi ring road project may finally be moving forward as punjab government has notified the implementation of section 4 for its land acquisition.

Yes, it seems that actual work for acquiring the land, will commenced after March 2020 which will take quite a long time due to bureaucratic slow process. The news published in DAWN highlights the potential work plan.

The Asian Infrastructure Investment bank (loaning bank) also capture one document showing approval of loan will be based on GOP acquiring the land....see following link for the document.

However I am still sceptical about future progress of the project...particularly when it is matter of projects run by either Govt of Punjab.
It is always acceptable to be a bit skeptical about any major project under the government. But as per latest updates on this issue, the PM is expected to lay the project’s foundation stone in June this year.
