I have experience having a rented house which falls under cantonment board jurisdictions. So, at the end of each year, i have to pay tax to cantonment board as well as income tax on generated income to tax authorities.
Won't it be better to buy a house in outside cantonment areas so that you pay less tax i.e. Only to tax authorities?
I am not if there is any kind of authority to outside cantonment which also collects tax likewise.
Please advise.

S Anwer sab if you are talking about property tax then you have to pay it to excise department outside cantonment too. I feel your question isn’t exactly clear enough.

In my cantt rented house, I am paying tax twice. First yearly tax is paid to Cantonment Board directly, and Second Property Income Tax to be paid to Excise/Tax department.
I wanted to know if I buy a house out to be rented outside Cantt area, shall I still be paying dual tax on that property?
