Does anybody know how much plots prices fell in last 2008 recession?
You can find the trends in zameen trend reports
That is a very vague question I am afraid. The recorded stats in Pakistan aren’t that forthcoming. However, we might be able to help if you elaborate on what are you trying to find out?
No authentic documented data for PAK. Data is mostly about US and EU markets. Even Zameen index that gives a rough guesstimation dates back to 2011 only.
My God, 47 downvotes. Kya ajeeb loge hain particularly when Imtiaz sab is very right and speaking of facts not opinion. Zameen Index is the best option we currently have for data on Pakistani market but that does not extend back to 2008.
Ali sb, bits & pieces of psychos here with egos and brains attached to their keyboards/mouse. All it takes for frustrated keyboard warriors is to open page in N different tabs and keep hitting green/red to keep the counter for N :)
Not being a yes man to dealership posts or socio-political thoughts turns desperate ones into psychos...

As much as data is missing, much of bigger real estate transactions have also been dogdy, so real data may never be available unless there is a central regulator with records.
@Imtiaz sab
Agree about the need for central regulator. I remember how last year the news that the government is going to use data from Zameen.com and other similar Pakistani websites for taxation purposes caused an uproar among the high and mighty in real estate last year.
Regulators here have mainly been exploiters. Recent example is DC rates, to say the least!
Fair enough, sir, the trouble is the rampant corruption at all levels.
